Well, my opportunity to give came right at me - I sent a Facebook message to a friend who, like me, is raising a daughter with some exceptionalities. She'd commented very briefly on something I posted and I sent her a note just thanking her for understanding - REALLY understanding - and telling her I was thinking of her as she gets ready to move from PA to CT with her family. It's not easy to do something like that in any circumstance but when you have kids who need familiarity to function, I can't even imagine. I hope I was able to encourage her. She's a great mom.

Hi, I'm Joan Otto! I joined 29 Gifts not too long after the original site started and had completed 3 full cycles and several partial cycles of giving. I'm in a place in my life right now where I'm trying to surround myself with positivity, so I'm taking the relaunch of this community as a sign and starting a new cycle TODAY.
