Yesterday was day two for me & a doozy. Woke to learn that because I upgrade to a new phone, my current phone was disconnected. Which would have been fine if the new one wasn't at a store waiting for me to pick it up 3 hours away in my home town. After several hours of explaining and being transferred with the blame always being on the other company... I finally got mine working again. Funny how much we rely on them now. Even with new tires I felt like making the drive home with no way to reach out for help would have been a disaster. Feel much safer now. Wanted to just break down and cry most of yesterday. Just felt like life is easier for others. I was exhausted. Kept looking for my moment to give and although I wanted to I felt like I had nothing in me. Went to bed thinking I would just start over on Day one, but then just after I feel asleep a friend called. Knowing he was going through something pretty rough I knew it wouldn't be a quick check in call. Part of me just wanted to ignore it & explain later that I was already asleep. Then I realized this was my chance. My gift. Calling that late meant he needed someone to talk to and I could do that. So I did. Thankful for the opportunity to be there for him and just like the book talks about, even when you feel like you have nothing to offer, you do.

Hopefully he, and everyone else has a much easier day today.
