I haven't been posting everyday but I've been giving! Yesterday was Monday and I volunteer at a feline rescue Mondays. I gave 2 kitties some extra attention :) The day before was Sunday and I gave my hair tie to a lady in class that needed one. Not sure what today will be!
Day 9. I ordered flowers to be sent to my aunt in North Carolina. I scheduled them for Valentine's Day so I debated whether or not that counted buy decided it definitely counts! I gave today, the receiving will just happen at a later date.
Do favors count as gifts? I seem to be answering a lot of favors lately. Today though (day 8) I took a vegan brownie to my friend/fellow yoga teacher before her class. I picked it up about a week ago from a coffee shop an hour away bc the first time I surprised her with one she had liked it so much she posted on Instagram about it. I also was attending the class free (well trade for a swimsuit that didn't fit me!) and I happened to be the only one in the class so I was happy that she didn't leave empty handed even though it wasn't necessarily a free class, still wanted her to have something in exchange for her time.
Friday (day 5) gave a friend a ride to Detroit airport (almost 2 hour drive for us) so she wouldn't have to drive herself and pay to leave her car parked at the airport during her trip. She insisted on giving me $20 which made me think maybe that didn't count as a gift but I realized the intention was still there and it was good practice for me to receive :)
Saturday (day 6), gave a catnip ball to a coworker to give to her kitty :)
Sunday (day 7, today) brought home sushi for my son from dinner/book club and even saved him 2 pieces from my favorite roll even though I really wanted them, haha!! I'm also leading a yoga group on cultivating a life of gratitude. Today was our first meet up and I gave each student a book. Some received The Last Lecture and some received the 29 Gifts book :)
A girl who has recently come into my circle of people posted on facebook this morning about having a migraine and needing kitty litter from the store. I went to the store and got her the kitty litter before I went to work so that she wouldn't have to leave the house.

Day 1 was yesterday and started simple. I had stayed out of town in a hotel with a girl friend of mine for New Years Eve and before we headed home we stopped at Starbucks. I used the opportunity to buy her coffee. Day 2 was today. I took my son and 2 neighborhood boys to an indoor playground one town over. We stopped at an Italian restaurant after. 2 boys ordered lasagna, I had a calzone and the other boy wanted pizza. Instead of getting him a personal size pizza we ordered a medium so he could take what was left home to his mama. I wrote her a little note on the box thanking her for all the times my son has been at their house and played and told her to enjoy the pizza!
