Tap Into Your Prayer Power Prayer is a simple and effective tool for relieving anxiety, stress and dis-ease in your mind, body and spirit. I think of prayer as my way of talking to God. Meditation is how I practice deep listening for divine direction.
Prayer connects us to the collective creative conscious and helps us tap into powerful healing energy. When confused or unsure of my next step, I pray and wait for the answers to come from divine inspiration. I am given the gift if insight if I am patient and listen for the spirit-centered response to my concerns or questions.
I also use prayers as intervention for negative thought patterns.
I love the Serenity Prayer and use it every morning in my prayer and meditation practice. I find myself repeating it throughout my day when feeling overwhelmed.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Another favorite of mine is the Prayer of Saint Francis:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me bring love. Where there is offense, let me bring pardon. Where there is discord, let me bring union. Where there is error, let me bring truth. Where there is doubt, let me bring faith. Where there is despair, let me bring hope. Where there is darkness, let me bring your light. Where there is sadness, let me bring joy. O Master, let me not seek as much to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love, for it is in giving that one receives, it is in self-forgetting that one finds, it is in pardoning that one is pardoned, it is in dying that one is raised to eternal life.
