Day 21: I'm a little behind in posting, so I hope I'm right on which days are which...😳. So, day 21, I gave the gift of time, to my son again...he very much wanted to get up & swim EARLY on Tues, so I got up with him & gave him a few tips while he was swimming. I didn't have to go, as his Dad was going to the gym at the same time. It was pretty cool to share that time with him, while teaching him!!
Day 22: I had a conversation with the lady that checked me out at Aldi, seems little, but seemed like she really appreciated the little gesture given how quickly they move people in & out of that line!!!
Day 23: I was walking out of Walmart & there was a lady with a women's group that was asking for a donation & I walked over there & gave her a $5...that's all I had to give, which was hard to part with, but felt really good to help out!
Day 24: I spent 12hrs making portable rice cakes for a mountain bike race...donating my time, as the gym I work at, paid for the product!!! I love feeding people & they are expecting 300 people, so I can't wait to FEED 'EM!!!

Ok, all caught up & only 5 more days of giving...my goal is to be more purposeful!!

Keep it up...and maybe, who knows, once you get to 29, you might have the same realization the Cami had at the end of her first cycle. :)

Day 20: I am not much on Facebook anymore, it became a 'time-suck', however, I manage a page for work, so I go on & check notifications & messages. To my surprise I received a message from a member of our gym thanking me for a recommendation to get a hurt ankle taped up. Additionally she told me how inspirational a new client of mine was for her. I thought that was super cool, so I HAD to share it with my new client, as she is very self-conscious about her body & working out right now. So my gift was to share the story/compliment with my new client & show her she's doing AMAZING & inspiring others along the way!!!

Day 19: I needed to get a run in yesterday & my son decided to join me, he is 14 & loves running, but hasn't been doing it lately. He suddenly is VERY motivated & WANTS to join me, which is very special time together, LOVE IT!! The best part was the special time afterwards, just sitting watching a little TV afterwards. He typically goes in his room & chills and I catch up on a little bit of work. This time with my son was my gift yesterday, not worrying about what I needed to catch up on, not worrying about making dinner, or running to the store, but sitting & being in the moment with him...it was so great!!! :)

Talk about giving and receiving coming together - as a Mom of an only boy (who at the moment is only 4 and I can't believe they grow up :)) I'm totally melting over this post. Thanks for sharing.

Day 18: Reached out to a gal that used to come to our gym that I hadn't seen in a while. She's such a strong, fast, motivated individual, it's fun to watch her jam through a workout or get pushed by her when I worked out with her! Found out she had some torn cartilage in her chest, yikes, and had to be out for 4 wks. She's just getting back to being able to workout again, so I'm glad I reached out to her, I hope she knows she's missed & I can't wait for her to come back!!

Day 16: made a chicken broccoli & rice casserole for an athlete that I coach. He just recently had out patient back surgery to help deaden nerves that cause back spasms...not so fun when you are training for Triathlons. I dropped it off to his wife @ work that way she had one less thing to worry about when she got home!!!

Day 17: So yesterday was a pretty day & as I laid down I thought, ohhhh no, I forgot to give something away. I went back through my day & was thinking did I have an opportunity & just didn't think to take it? Ten I remembered something I did that was very intentional. I reached out to a friend of mine that I used to work with & have been missing & a little worried about. The best part, she was doing GREAT, and it was sooo wonderful to hear he voice. We had a great conversation!!!!

Day 14: I helped my son take down Christmas lights in our yard. He, his brother & Dad are responsible for outside decorating & I handle inside. That means putting up AND taking down! They had put off taking the lights down because it had gotten cold, however, we were expecting ice/snow, so I said, "hey, let's take them down today". I could tell how happy I was to be out there helping & I thoroughly enjoying helping vs. just watching him do it all by himself.
Day 15: My brothers birthday was yesterday (on Day 15) & I sent him a lovely candle that I know he will burn & hopefully enjoy while chilling out!! He works very hard, is a divorced Dad & has a huge heart, so he deserves some down time!!!

Nicely done - keep it up - you're doing great work - I listened to something today that reminded me that by helping, serving, repairing, and giving to the individuals in our direct path, that each of us is actually taking important steps to heal much more divided world...I like believing that we are all growing the good one household, one neighborhood, one relationship at a time. :)

Day 12: Reached out to a teacher of my son's, who I have become closer with due to the health issues she had. She recently had to have emergency surgery & will be out for 4 weeks. I wanted to let her know we were thinking about her & if she needed anything when she got back in town (from being with her Mom), we were here. She said she may need help getting to school...she didn't ask, that's just not like her, but I offered to help for sure!!!

Day 13: Made dinner for a co-worker who just had a baby. Also, got the new baby some wipes & cute socks because no baby should have cold feet!!

Day 11: I gave my son's soccer coach & his wife a baby gift for their 5th child they will be having in May. The Mom is a little less than excited, as her oldest is 16 & her youngest is 7, so this was a surprise. I wanted to show her how happy we were for them even though going & spending money on baby clothes is not really something we have 'extra' for right now.

Day 9: I decided to send a small amount to the St Jude's children hospital. I have a friend who lost her daughter when she was 11 to childhood cancer. I can't even IMAGINE going through having to deal with all she went through. And while she didn't ever go to St Judes it is one of the largest children's hospital around & is completely free!!
Day 10: There is a gentleman that sets up signs on a corner that say, 'make the right choice' & 'the end is coming'. He preaches on that corner, assume it is Godly in nature, not sure as I've never heard them! However, today I grabbed his attention by looking at him while he was setting up the signs, SMILED & waved!! My guess, he doesn't get a lot of that during the day...he waved & continued with his sign set up. Everybody has the right to free speech & you know it's nice to know that someone wants to make a difference in the world we live in today!!
