Last few days of gift ideas: Went to a party I didn't really want to go to - turned out to be fun and complimented the host on how nice her friends were. Read a book with my 11-year-old because he was sad. Contacted a friend who found out she has to have a second surgery for cancer and offered to give her some uplifting books. Happy New Year!
Starting over with my 29 days. It is a great time of year to give because there are others that match your donations. So, I donated to Feeding America. And got double the giving power. Cool
Fun idea when the day is closing out and you haven't given your gift, you can pick a random cause on Gofundme.com. You can donate any amount - even $5. I picked one of the victims from Charlottesville, VA. Pick your passion and give - even a few dollars helps!
Day 2 - called an older person who is lonely. She likes to talk forever and since time is my most important commodity, this was difficult one for me. Today, Day 3, I donated a violin to the school that I could have sold on Ebay for quite a bit but it felt good to give it away knowing some child who can't afford it will have one now. And Guess what? I don't know if this has anything to do with the challenge, but yesterday, I got notice that a state agency made mistakes billing us two years ago and now they owe us $550! What?! Yeah!
