Hi Prayer Cafe Friends: Please join me in prayers for Ruth, my 95 year young mom who has been clinically depressed for the past 7 years.
I am staying with mom for the next 10 days while my sister (who is her caregiver) and friends are traveling in South Africa .
I intend to give her the gift of my loving presence during this time. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers! namaste.

Your family is included in my daily prayers, Mary Louise. I have been the primary family caregiver for many years and have so many wonderful memories and stories of time spent with loved ones. I also know how challenging it can be for the caregivers. During those times, I find it helpful to just breathe, talk about the good times and tell funny stories. Laughter is truly the best medicine. What a gift for your mother, your sister and for you, with many more gifts to come over the 10-day visit! Imagine how different our world would be if we all gave the gift of loving presence to everyone we met. Thanks for sharing.
